Starship (classes)

There are many types of starship for each faction, ranging from civilian freighters to enemy warships that the player must overcome in space combat. Players will encounter these ships while in space, either when running missions or traveling between star systems.

There are a number of types of playable starship, each with multiple variants and differing statistics depending on the type and tier of vessel. These details are explained on the starships' individual articles.

[edit] Non-playable

The ships in the following categories are not currently playable in Star Trek Online. They may become playable at some point in the future when/if Cryptic decides to add more factions. For the Federation and Klingon Empire sections, they represent the vessels that are seen in game but not under player control. Federation vessels not under player control are typically seen around starbases or space stations, or in the Azure Nebula. Klingon NPC vessels are much the same and appear throughout the Klingon Front for the Federation.
